Turbo-The Power Device
A turbo is just another form of a supercharge. The name has been shortened out of convenience. A turbocharger is a device driven by exhaust gases that increases engine power by pumping air into the combustion chambers. The main advantage of turbocharging is increased peak power. This power is useful when there is a need to go fast, to pass someone, or if you live in an area with mountains, the increased power can be helpful in climbing the steep roads.
